Lunches for Hurricane Workers

Local workers who helped our community recover from hurricanes Ian and Nicole by clearing fallen trees from roads, inspecting and repairing boardwalk crossovers, and aided residents with recovery after home flooding problems were surprised yesterday with a warm reception and a luncheon tribute. Many people came together bringing them cards, well wishes, and some of their best homecooked meals.

I personally baked and delivered to them large dishes of lasagna and my fresh homemade key lime pies. Other gifted foods included turkey casserole, ham and potato salad, several large pizzas by Papa Vitos, and many large ham and turkey sandwich rings among other items.
